Let The Nations Sing
Worshiping with younger leaders from over 150 nations for two weeks is an exciting experience! Leading the worship times is also a terrifying one. So many preferences, so many cultures, so many traditions, so many opinions. My hope is to capture some of the moments not only of our worship times, but of our worship team. My prayer is that you will grow more deeply as a worshiper through our journey.
Worship at YLG2016 is all about being “United in the Great Story”. United we experience God in all of His fullness by participating in a multinational worshiping community, enjoying the gifts each culture brings. United we embrace God’s call to our collective global mission formed through the great story in Scripture.
Our worship team is comprised of worship pastors and evangelism mobilizers from United States, Puerto Rico, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, and Ghana. As a minister that is passionate about creating atmospheres that mobilize for mission and reconciliation, it is an honor to be leading this team. In our worship times, we are hoping you will see hospitality, solidarity and mutuality modeled in the songs we selected and the way we lead.
This morning we started by declaring that God is higher than all other gods. Proclaiming that He is high and lifted up as well as praying that God be high and lifted up in the communities that don’t know him. We pray you experienced God in a powerful way through the songs we sang together as a community.
